That crust crackled perfectly when I pressed it, and the inside was so airy and light it practically dissolved. Sliced it lengthwise for a panini and it held everything without getting soggy.

The long shape is actually a game-changer for sandwiches—everything stays put without the bread tearing mid-bite. It toasted up with a nice crunch on the outside while the inside stayed airy and light, exactly what I hoped for. Just wish the crust had a bit more of that sourdough tang.
