The tartness of the apples really balances the sweetness, so it's not cloying at all. I grabbed one as an afternoon snack and it hit the spot perfectly—crisp enough on the outside, soft and warm on the inside.

I'm not usually a pastry person, but this turnover caught my eye—the flaky outer crust paired with the sweet-tart apple filling made for a perfect afternoon snack. It really hit the spot with my coffee.
